Window Horses - Behind the Curtains

This is an early design of Shahrzad from the original storyboard that we made into a digital graphic novel. She has taken the opposite approach to hijab than Rosie’s full chador. She wears her scarf back on her head allowing her hair to be seen.

Persian women have been writing and reciting poetry since the medieval period. Today, they equal in number and often outsell their male authors in the marketplace, giving voice to women’s perspective.

Panta Mosleh is the voice of Shahrzad.

Pictured here is a page from the Window Horses graphic novel - one with Kevin Langdale’s original storyboard designs, the other with final images from the film.
